Luke Gregerson came through with a solid 3 innings and Ryan Hanigan had 5 hits
and 4 RBI at Miller Park as the Simi Valley Vikings came back dramatically to
top the Brew City Warriors by the score of 12 to 11.

Simi Valley had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 5 hits. The highlight belonged to Vernon Wells who
deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he blasted a two-run home
run. Simi Valley had 19 hits for the game and Brew City had 15.

Joakim Soria(1-0) allowed no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Fernando Salas recorded his 1st save. Brandon Gomes(1-2) was the
loser in relief.

Doug Fredriksen was feeling mighty fine as he answered questions in his office
after the game, 'Now that was one fine ending! Did you see how the crowd just
sat there in silence after the winning run scored? Here we are celebrating
wildly, and the stadium is cloaked in virtual silence. Weird. but GREAT!'
