At Dodger Stadium the Fleetwood Walkers ended a long winless drought and
easily handled the Simi Valley Vikings by the score of 7 to 3.

The Simi Valley fans didn't appreciate the big day Carlos Beltran had. He
tripled which was good for two runs in the 1st inning and blasted a two-run
home run in the 6th inning. Fleetwood managed 9 hits in their victory.

Zack Greinke(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Jaime
Garcia(1-2) was the loser. Fleetwood knocked him around a bit, as he gave up
6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.

Fleetwood, who had been struggling lately, moved their record to 9-8. They
are now 1-9 in their last ten games. Simi Valley, which had been on a roll,
saw their record drop to 14-6.
