The Simi Valley Vikings got by the Fremont Fremen at The Roost. The final
score was 9 to 7.
Troy Tulowitzki was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a
fine day at their team's expense. He stroked a one-base hit in the 5th
inning and lofted a three-run bomb in the 8th inning. For the game Simi
Valley out-hit Fremont 14 to 10.
Rubby De La Rosa(1-0) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win.
Fernando Salas recorded the save, his 2nd. Gavin Floyd(1-2) was given the
loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 5 walks in 7 and 2/3innings.
