Tim Stauffer tossed a complete game and Jeff Keppinger had 4 hits and 3 RBI at
Dodger Stadium as the Fremont Fremen beat the Simi Valley Vikings 11 to
2.
 
Keppinger was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he
provided much of the offense for the visitors.  He doubled in the 1st inning,
cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd inning, smacked a single scoring a run in
the 7th inning and banged out a one-base hit in the 9th inning.  Fremont
rapped out 16 hits for the afternoon.  
 
The victory was credited to Stauffer(1-0) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Jaime Garcia(0-1) was given the loss.  He allowed 9 hits and no walks
in 6 and 1/3 innings.
